We took the girls to a family fun fair in our town last night. I brought my camera but left it in my car, and I was too busy lazy, so there are no pictures. Heather decided she would try the moonwalk. She got in, did one little jump and cried for me to rescue her..lol. I was proud of her for trying though. Alison volunteered herself to be dunked in the dunk tank. Her friend Tommy spotted her and rushed over to dunk her. Very amusing. We met up with my friend there and his kids. His daughter is Heather's age and she loves being with her little friend. They spent over an hour together checking out the firetrucks and police car. Too cute.
This morning we headed to the library for a story craft. Alison made a hat to wear to the parade next week. I will definitely get a picture of this hat! Heather told Alison "I will let you share your hat with me." LOL!

Strawberry Picking
I took the girls to a farm to go strawberry picking yesterday. DH was working, so my brother came along with us. The kids loved it. Heather ate way too many strawberries. For every few she put in the container, she would eat one. The farm had a little petting zoo and a playground too. Lots of fun.

We went to a cook out at my grandparent's house yesterday. Heather was the center of attention. She was being a comedian and had everyone laughing at her. She had all of the older cousins playing with her and they thought she was just too cute. She spent most of the afternoon with my cousin Craig(who she called "Egg"). He is a senior in high school and I was amazed that he was so good with her. He even managed to teach Heather how to play baseball. She hit the ball almost everytime! Everyone was amazed.

Friday we headed up to stay at my parent's house in NH. We left here late and didn't get there until almost 9. Heather went to bed soon after we got there and I kept Alison up until midnight in hopes that she would sleep good and not wake Heather up(bad mommy!) Heather woke up at 2 am the first night, so Bob went to sleep in the room with Alison. I finally got Heather to go back to bed after about an hour. Then Alison got up at 6. yuck! We spent a lot of time out in the boats, which the kids love.
Heather waving to my parents from the boat
It was nice to get away, but I have to admit that Heather really wore me out. She only wants Mommy and no one else can do anything for her. It isn't fun for me. Bob watched her while I went kayaking with my mother and Heather freaked and wailed the binnoculars into the lake. Then later I attempted to leave her with Bob while I showered and she had a fit for him and threw her toy into the lake. Which is too deep to find anything in. Little brat! She learned her lesson about throwing things in the water after she realized no one could get her toy back though. She was devastated!

Alison roasted marshmallows with my mother
Heather insisted on sleeping in the bottom bunk that night instead of the port a crib. She surprised me and did great. She got up once in the night and but did go back to sleep after a while. Then she napped in the bed Sunday too. I guess she is growing up on me. *sigh*
who me tired? never.
Sunday we headed over to a local state park to swim because the lake my parent's are on had a swim advisory(bacteria.) The state park was beautiful. The water was crystal clear and so warm. Even Heather ventured in for the first time past her knees and swam. Yay! I was so excited to see her having such a good time in the water.

We got home late Sunday and caught up on our sleep.

This was the temperature outside(in the shade) at 8:30 am today
The baby pigs at Alison's farm camp. The 10 piglets were born Monday. Hard to tell from these pics, but they are so tiny and adorable. The same does not go for their mother...

And yet I can't seem to get my thoughts organized enough to blog about it all. My mind has been frazzled lately. I have been so tired and I think it is mostly from the vertigo.I am still waiting on the results of my ENG. So I have been crankier than usual and I hate it. Of course PMS isn't helping that! The last thing I want is to be snapping at the girls(or hubby). So I am working hard on keeping my attitude in check.
Alison started camp today at our local organic farm. She was looking forward to it until last night. She came out crying saying she was scared. I convinced her it was fun and only for a few hours every morning. She looked a little unsure as I drove away, but she didn't cry. Heather on the other hand screamed on the way home. And not becuase we left Alison, she didn't even notice Alison was gone until we were home for a bit. She screamed because she wanted to stay at the farm.
I have pictures to share, but blogger is being a stinker and won't load them today. I guess I'll have to get them on later.

We headed up to check out my parent's new lake house in New Hampshire last week. The ride wasn't too bad. It would have taken only about 2 hours, but we made a wrong turn, so it took us a little longer. Their house is nice and they have a private dock onto the lake. Their view is awesome!

The girls loved swimming and spent a lot of time sitting on the dock watching the fish(and feeding them bread crumbs.)

My father took me and the girls out in the canoe. Heather got scared and Alison wasn't enjoying it much, so we headed back after only a few minutes.
Alison was totally in love with their paddle boat. She spent hours in it. I would take her, then Bob, then all of us would go. Over and over! Alison would have stayed in it until it was time to head home if I had let her!
Do they look alike or what?
Heather kept asking to go in the paddle boats and I finally took her. She loved it. We spent a long time out in it. She sat so good and held on tight.

(never mind Bob telling me to steer away from the grass!)
We had major sleep issues there the first night though. I put Alison and Heather in the same room and Alison took Heather out of the crib twice(she said Heather was being too loud-even though I didn't hear her say a thing!) So after the second time, I had Alison come sleep with me and Bob on the sleeper sofa. Heather fell fast asleep and slept until I woke her up at 7. Alison on the other hand... was wide awake, bouncing around all night long. Bob slept through it all, but I was up all night with Alison. She just would not go to sleep! Finally at 7 am, she passed out on the chair.
Just then my parents woke up and came out. So she got only 20 minutes of sleep and I got none. Imagine our moods on day 2!
The ride home wasn't as successful as the ride up. But it still wasn't bad. Heather had a bad belly ache and Alison was over tired and cranky. But we made it home and curled up to sleep in our own beds!

Well, that about sums it up! Leave a comment if you get a chance, we like seeing what you have to say!

The weather here this week has been sunny and hot. We have spent everyday outside enjoying it. The girls have been playing in their little wading pool. Heather likes it this year, as long as no bugs land in it..lol. These pictures are from the other day outside.

The girls decided to put their chairs inside the pool and relax. Alison said to me"If I only had some cucumber slices for my eyes, this would be perfect." LOL! I love that girl.

We went up the street to my grandparent's pool the other day also. Some of my grandmother's family was down visiting from Newfoundland and wanted to see the girls. It was a great day and the pool was so nice to be in!

That is about all for now. I just finished sewing Alison's costume for tonight's dance rehearsal. Can we say procrastinator??
I also wanted to add that today is the day we find out if my neighbor is in remission, so please cross your fingers for her. She is having an especially rough time right now.
