The weather was gorgeous this weekend. Saturday, we headed up to my parent's place in New Hampshire. We spent the day outside there, enjoying the lake. The kids also had a blast jumping in the huge piles of leaves. We went to a local restaraunt for dinner and the food was so good. Both girls even slept the whole night there with no problems. They got up early, but that worked for us because we wanted to head up to Storyland. The traffic was rough up in the mountains, because so many where up there to view the foliage. It should have taken us around 2 hours to get there, but took us around 3. But the girls were excellent the entire ride. They kept themselves busy checking out the views and looking for animals. I was worried how long Heather would last at the park, where she went to bed late, got up early and missed her nap. But she did awesome. She fussed a few times, but nothing a popsicle or french fries couldn't cure. Heather wanted to see Humpty Dumpty first(or Dumpy Dumpy as she says..lol.) Once she spotted him(a fake guy on a wall), she wouldn't get near him. But throughout the day, she asked many times to go back and finally decided she loved him. She even hugged him good bye at the end of the day. Alison had a blast going on all of the rides. Her and Bob rode the coaster and spinning rides while I took Heather to see Cinderella. Heather decided she would go on a ride called the Flying Shoes. So I took her on. She did good on it. She wasnt thrilled when it went high, but had fun. Then we all went on the ferris wheel. Heather wanted to ride it again, so Bob took her on while I took Alison on the log ride. We saw everything and went on almost every ride before closing. I was exhausted, but the kids were still in high gear. Our ride home took us 5 hours because of the leaf peepers backing up traffic. But the kids slept most of the way.
