Palilalia is a new word that was entered into our vocabulary this week. Alison has been doing this where she repeats words and phrases and has trouble getting her sentences out. It is hell for her and it is heartbreaking(and tiring) for us too. We saw the Dr yesterday and he confirmed that this is what she is doing. it is part of the Tourette's, but he wonders if her medicine is making it worse. She has been extra hyper and speed talking. So we are cutting her dose in half and will decide in a month if we want to stop it altogether. Poor Alison. She has such a long road ahead of her.
I have spent hours, days, weeks on the phone with our insurance appealing for Heather's OT. We finally got somewhere. They want her re-evaluated, then they will re submit for the appointments and see if she qualifies. She is having her evaluation tomorrow. Hopefully this will all end soon with some more coverage.
Spring is finally here. Somewhat. The sun is out and it looks warm. However, we still have the huge gusts of wind that make it feel like winter. I took Heather to target today and we bought lots of new outside toys to keep the kids amused.

(((HUGS))) All of this must be so stressful for you and for her too.
Medical insurance is awful. We are having some difficulties too but of a different kind. Why do they have to make things SO hard on us? Don't they know we have enough to worry about already? I hope things get straightened out soon so you can have a little less stress in your life.
Thinking of you girls and hoping all is okay. Give me a call soon and let me know that you haven't fallen off the planet!
